Oh you little temptress…you pale, sweet delight! I mean, cream cheese frosting doesn’t look all that appealing am I right? But oh, the taste! That undeniable, sweet, cream cheesy frosting with that soft, snowy powdered sugar. What a winning combination. Can you imagine the look on the person’s face that first put these all together and stuck their finger in the bowl for that very first taste? Awesomeness!

In a medium bowl, beat half of an 8 oz package of softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup softened butter and 1 tsp vanilla with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Gradually beat in 2-1/2 to 3 cups of powdered sugar to make a frosting consistency.

Note: Now the other night when I made this I must have not have had my reading glasses on because I used the entire 8 oz package of cream cheese and the frosting was wonderful. A happy mistake indeed. And I only used a little over 2 cups of the powdered sugar but you can experiment if you like to see what suits you best. 🙂
