Caprese Canapes – 5 minutes and done!

This will be a five-minute, pull together, easy-peasy, sandwich treat for you and your guests. Once you have the spinach pesto made, (see the recipe for spinach pesto in my other posts), these tasty mouthfuls will come together in minutes. At an afternoon tea my husband and I went to last week, I asked the owner what bread she used. Very simply, she used Naan bread, which she cut with a biscuit cutter to give it a perfectly round shape, then she toasted them in a frying pan in olive oil until they got browned. She topped them with the homemade pesto, a slice of fresh mozzarella, and a slice of tomato on top. I added a quarter slice of salami to mine and it was delish! (I didn’t use the biscuit cutter to get perfect circles – maybe for company I will do that just to be all fancy.) ๐Ÿ™‚
